In-X-Cess Productions is a multi-niche and often feature-oriented line that has been in existence since 1994.
Many of In-X-Cess’ Productions European Adult Video titles were shot in 35mm film by one of Europe’s most highly acclaimed directors, Joe D’Amato (Aristide Massaccesi), who has over 200 adult films to his credit.
During the 1980s and 1990s, D'Amato directed films for the Italian video market, although under his many pseudonyms he continued to direct and produce other films, one of which was Aquarius (1987) directed by Michele Soavi which, under his real name, Massaccesi served as the producer. D'Amato then directed two Ator L'invincible films which were written by Jose Maria Sanchex (under the pseudonym Sherry Russel). The violent, hard-core Caligula: La Storia Mai Raccontata (1981) directed under the pseudonym David Hills, was a commercial exploitation of the successful film by Tinto Brass.
D'Amato's other films during the 1980s were Paradisco Blu, and violent adventures films such as Deep Blood (1989) which were filmed in Florida. D'Amato directed Ghosthouse (La Casa 3). Some of D'Amato's greatest successes abroad were his films L'alcova and Pomeriggio Caldo (1987), as well as the horror-thriller Paura Nel Buio (Hitcher in the Dark).
But his long film career came to an abrupt end when, in January 1999, he suffered an unexpected and fatal heart attack at his home in Rome. He was 62. Joe D'Amato had left his part in Italian cinema as a talented director, scriptwriter, producer and cinematographer with more than a dozen different aliases to his work.
But he was also known as a big porn director that tried to introduce porn to the mainstream with his big-budget productions, some of which were shot on 35mm film.

Some of In-X-Cess more notable titles include: The Boxer (Parts 1 and 2) starring Rocco Siffredi and Phantom. Silvia’s Spell (Parts 1-3), starring Silvia Saint, received international media attention in 2005 as Silvia Saint’s “comeback series”. The films were shot in 2001, but were never released due to litigation and remained shelved until 2005. The trilogy is the highest-budget production of the former Penthouse Pet’s career and the only to be shot using film.

Lee Nover: The Search For titles featured many Eastern European stars who went on to major stardom. Frank Thring shot Silvia Saint’s first ever on-camera sex scene in Silvia Does It Again! Frank Thring, who works with such industry leaders as Private, also directed the Mr. Beaver Checks In line for Hustler and received industry-wide notoriety for being one of the first to shoot in the Czech Republic, Russia and Hungary after restrictions were lowered in those countries.
